Sony has introduced the start of a 3D visor. Reminiscent of virtual actuality helmets, the Japanese electronics large states that the HMZ-T1 is “really new and thrilling, not just an upgrade of what is gone before”.It claims it is “the world’s very first 3D compatible Head Mounted Display”.


The device uses two .7” Hd shows, employing the latest organic and natural LED technological innovation, and also delivers surround audio. Sony statements it simulates a 750” cinema. It can hook up to Blu-ray, PlayStation three and other gadgets. Pricing and availability has not but been confirmed.


Sony made the announcement at the IFA electronics demonstrate in Berlin, which is Europe’s largest. It also unveiled what it claims is the world’s lightest eReader, the 168g Reader WiFi, and two new Android tablet pcs.


The S and P designs are the first such devices created by Sony, with the S featuring a tapered design and a 9.4” display, whilst the P is a folding, clamshell product with two smaller sized screens. The S can also be employed as a remote manage for all infra-red units, these kinds of as televisions and hifis. Sony hopes this sort of new attributes will assist it to contend with Apple’s iPad, although also providing a diverse expertise.
