This picture is the 2000th neon shot that I have posted to Flickr. I commenced shooting neon in January of 2007, and it has swiftly turn out to be one of my favourite topics. This picture illustrates one of my motivations for shooting neon: it is disappearing, and when it can be gone, it really is lost forever.

This indicator is in Redwood Metropolis, in the oldtown district. The Activity Club is absent, the windows boarded up and the sign left to weather. If the up coming tenant won't treatment ample about the indicator to place the funds and hard work into restoring it, it will most most likely be torn down and sent to the landfill.
