My new business cards, courtesy of MOO, came in the mail last week, just in time for me to update the colors on my website and twitter.

The Co-op is emerging as a favourite to buy the 632 branches being put up for sale by Lloyds Banking Group after last week's report by the Independent Commission on Banking.
The report said the disposal should be designed to create a major banking competitor with at least a six per cent share of the current account market.
That target is most easily achieved by a sale to Co-op, rather than to either of the other two bidders, Sun Capital or start-up banking business NBNK, which currently have no banking operations.

For sale: Lloyds 632 branches are likely to be bought by the Co-op

The branches have about 4.5 per cent of the current account market. Co-op has about 1.5 per cent.

The terms could push NBNK closer to
a deal with National Australia Bank, which has considered bidding for
the Lloyds branches, selling its British businesses to NBNK or
combining in a joint venture. Thus a NBNK bid for the Lloyds branches
would also create a new group with a six per cent share.
