The Winklevoss brothers took the Facebook founder to court claiming that they had come up with the idea for the hugely successful site only for Harvard contemporary Mr Zuckerberg to steal the idea, a story immortalised in the film The Social Network.
In the television commercial, one of the identical twins cracks open a pistachio nut with one hand, his brother remarking: "That's a good idea."
Then, in a none too subtle reference to their dispute with Mr Zuckerburg, the other suddenly questions: "Think someone will steal it?"
The pair then turn to camera and ask: "Who'd do that?"
The twins finally reached a $ 65m (£41m) settlement with Facebook earlier this year, although the company maintains their claims are false.
